    Leafs deal doesn't make much sense. You are just throwing in random crap that's laying around and aren't answers to anything trying to justify a higher price on Tanev. Vladar is a worse option than what the Leafs have now, has a bad contract for what he's provided and has extra term. Gilbert is a fringe NHL defender which the Leafs already have 2 or 3 of in the likes of Benoit, Lagesson and Lajoie.

    Leafs do not want Vladar, Samsonov is already a burden...and Tanev unretained is not bringing back a first with his age and injury history. I won't even get started on the Avs trade, which is much worse than the leafs trade.

    You would think flames fans on this site would learn after screaming that Zadorov was going to bring back a 1st, but some continue to double down.
