I want a third for Jack at least. A 4th for losing a player and 2 mill retainment being the same round as a team that just eats 1 mill doesn't make much sense. Also retainment deadline deals are going to be expensive this year.

Roslovic, when healthy, has been playing pretty well in all situations. CBJ retain half and probably get a 2nd back this season, a 4th is low. $1M retention elsewhere for a 4th is also high, historically (recently) it's been ~$2.5M for a 5th, so that likely only costs you a 6th or 7th.

All in all, it's probably Roslovic for a 2nd + 6th for the extra $1M elsewhere, or two 3rds + 6th if you don't have a 2nd.

2.5 on Kane cost a 3rd last year.

$2.55M on Orlov cost a 5th last year. It's hard to get a true read on this because it 1) varies by team based on how much they value the cash, and 2) rarely is there a retained-salary deal that doesn't involve multiple pieces.
