Yeah Canes pass. Canes are in win now mode, they aren’t moving Pesce mid season. Especially for that lackluster package.

Canucks pass, this is an overpay for an average defender.

I agree the Canes don’t move Pesce, but a 1st, a very good RHD prospect, and a good 3rd liner is not a lackluster return for a pending UFA

The Canes don’t need another 3rd liner, since he will be sitting in the press box. I’ll admit I don’t know much about the prospect, but unless he is going to beat out guys like Morrow and Heimosalmi, and maybe even Honka and Coghlan, he is going to have some very tough competition. It’s unrealistic for the Canes to move a roster player, especially one as critical as Pesce, for futures during their win now window.

Idk what the Canes lines look like, but Lafferty has been great this season for the Canucks whether he’s been in the bottom 6 or on a line with Pettersson. I think he’d make Carolina’s lineup if they acquired him

Brzustewicz in his D+1 year currently has 58 points in 37 games in the OHL. Looking like a big draft steal right now

But yeah it doesn’t make sense for the Canes to move Pesce rn, although if they did this is a great return for him

Are you crazy? Brzustewicz is having a historically good year right now and is looking like Adam Fox right now haha.

I dont think The Canes move Pesce, but like MV said above this would more than a fair trade for an expiring contract.

Too many things are wrong with this.

1. Carolina is not moving Pecse during the season, unless they get a top 4 defenseman back in the trade.
2. Vancouver likely isn't moving Brzustewicz, he's looked like the biggest steal so far. You don't find those types often, and we gotta stop trading them.
3. Pecse isn't worth that much tbh.
4. Why Laff? He's been awesome.
