Every signing is under market value, and the trade is ridiculous. Ullmark will be a pending UFA in the offseason, he won't fetch a high end RFA or possibly even a 1st, let alone both. He might get a 2nd rounder and a mid tier prospect.

Sway gets at least 5m. On the open market, I think Reinhart will get 8.5m+ and Hanafin will get 7m+. It doesn't matter what we value them at, it matters what the highest bidder values them at.

Rumor is Hanafin is coming to Boston no matter what. That should bring the price down

I think Hanifin could take a hometown discount/would have to take one to come to Boston and potentially block Lohrei.

You have EDM trading a 24 year old top pairing RD that's scoring at a point-per-game pace AND a 1st + 3rd for a pending UFA goalie. He's a great goalie but it's arguable that he'd even return a 1st in a trade given how goalies are usually valued on the trade market. Once you also factor in a.) EDM's cap situation, b.) the fact that Ullmark has never played more than 49 games in a season, and c.) the fact that his numbers are likely inflated by playing behind a Bruins team that consistently makes goalies look great, you should be able to grasp why that trade proposal would be viewed as awful for EDM.

Take Bouchard out you are closer to being fair. Can take the 3rd out too.
