If we were targeting someone from STL for our bottom-6 I'd much rather pay more for Toropchenko than a washed Sundqvist

Leafs already would decline this trade so why would you make it even worse for the leafs? Lmao are you even a leafs fan or just a pretender?

In what way is Sundqvist washed? He’s been a great defensively, draws a ton of penalties, and even puts up a decent amount of points in a bottom 6 role. Better than anyone in the Leafs bottom 6. Not saying much, but still.

Make it worse because Liljegren is more valuable than Timmins? Lily was supposed to be an offensive defenseman and he has 1 assist and 6 shots in 11 games. He played on the top pair with Rielly last night and had 0 points in a 7-0 game. 0 points in 7 playoff games as well.

Meanwhile, Timmins came back from a long layoff and put up great numbers with the Leafs last season, and is currently on a 5 game point streak. He's also signed at 1.1 mil for this year and next, after which he becomes an RFA. Can you not see his value from simply watching the games?

Tolvanen is a guy who was on pace for 27 goals last year with the Krakken as a 23 year old. He's also cheap and expires as an RFA, awhile playing a physical game and being solid defensively. Even capfriendly has him as a 2nd line player already. Robertson's offensive production is inconsistent and he doesn't bring enough attributes elsewhere to make up for that at this point in time.

Larsson is exactly what we need, a top pair RHD D who is great defensively, mobile, can move the puck and provide physicality. He was Seattle's MVP in the playoffs last year when they were able to shutdown the Avs offense and lead the league in ATOI.

It likely wouldn't cost this much, but if this were a take it or leave it trade I'm taking it and would prefer to keep Timmins over Lily. Only thing I question with this roster is leaving Brodie on the top pair, but this guy has a good understanding of what this team needs to get over the top.

My only adjustment would be to the D pairings:

Rielly - Larsson
Seeler - McCabe
Brodie/Benoit - Timmins
Brodie/Benoit

Unreal balance throughout the lineup, unreal depth... this is a cup worthy team.

Ok, SO (short for SomeonesOffended, not the word 'so')...now I'm offended!!

The best two players in this trade are....in order....Larsson, then Tolvanen/kinda maybe Timmins because he's a d-man....then it doesn't matter. Seattle is giving up the best pieces here, the Leafs are giving up two marginal future talents, a serviceable (and likeable) 3rd paring d-man and a late 1st round draft pick. Seattle asks for, and gets, more for this package.

Leafs don’t need tolvanen they only need Larsson and if we pay a 1st and niemela we want him half retained, no timmins no Robertson

Tolvanen would be the 5th best forward on the Leafs. We could dump one of our overpaid and underperforming forwards *cough cough Bertuzzi, cough cough Domi*

I swallow hard on Timmins as I think he's useful, but the rest are replaceable.

Timmins is the last leaf I’m trading I would be hard pressed to pass him up for a 2nd at this point sure if we could throw domi in there instead of Robertson and Timmins for tolvanen I would 100% do that maybe we can add a 3rd but I’m firm on my price for Larsson if he’s half retained 1st and a prospect that’s worth a second that’s how much McCabe went for now he was worse but he was also retained for a year longer

Most of them never watch the Blues, they just repeat what somebody else who doesn't watch the Blues said, and it becomes accepted reality.

In actual reality, Sunny probably extends in STL. And if he does go up, I highly doubt a 5th wins the race.
