Colorado can't take on that kind of salary and really don't need Brannstrom.

I think packaging Forsberg and Brannstrom will work for some team, but I'd look more to a Chicago or San Jose for example.

LoC is untouchable on the Avs. Might sound crazy to other fan bases, I know.

No I get it. Dependable, cheap depth is a must for any team to compete. Just figured you guys needed a goalie so I threw in a "sweetener".

I wouldn't say untouchable (very much an over-used word on here and in general in hockey) but highly valued for what he brings for the price. He isn't going to be moved other than in a blockbuster of some kind I would think.

With how he has effected the quality of play of each line he's on. I don't see how to Avs could replace him at or below his cap hit. This is also taking the off-ice benefits out of the thought process. Untouchable is an over-used word, but I do believe it is correctly used here. Kovalenko is a pipe dream until he shows up and I am not sure he will be happy with an LOC type role. I appreciate your posts and view, not trying to argue, just explaining myself.

Oh I absolutely agree with you on most of your point. I would consider LOC 'very hard to replace' and unless it was something like he had to be part of a Crosby trade for example or something like that, I wouldn't move him. Like I said....something very, very big.

The modern day "Connor Brown" before his injury sounds like. And the Sens version of Mathieu Joseph (before he got hurt). Guys who don't feel out of place on any line.
