Except the value is not extremely high. They get rental Stamkos (assuming he waives) and 1 year of Hedman and the Kings also have to give up two 1st round picks?

The kings get a point per game forward and defensemen on great contracts with tons of leadership for 1 and a half years (Stammer will most likely stay because of Hedman) that will help them massively for the playoffs. That would go for a heavy price in the NHL.

Retain 50% of Hedman's contract instead of Stamkos and this becomes closer, but still no.

Even if the price wasn't ridiculous, the Kings are bringing in over $17M in NHL salary and only sending out $4M. For a team that had to run with 20 players to start the season, how do you expect them to fit an extra $13M under the cap?

howard would start the season in syracuse, raddysh has been decent, myers only cost us 250k in cap being in syracuse, why would we retain 700k on him just to trade him for FC? there is no point in giving up on ABB if we are calling the season a wrap and why would we give capone a contract?

Raddysh would even the value on the Sheary trade, Myers would be a rental that someone could use... maybe we get a pick, Capone is to fill in an AHL spot.

if myers is a rental then why didnt you have a pick going back the other way? and there are better guys than capone that could fill that spot like webster, huuhtanen, duke, even kurth or possibly shalagin. I dont see capone getting a contract

some of the "depth" prospects are actually pretty good, huuhtanen will probably be a top 6 player and I would expect duke to make the team sometime soon
