I am a former athlete yes, never in the pros but still know a bunch of guys I played with that turned pro and semi pro, so yes I have an inside perspective in a sense. Besides that, how many players who were traded and didn't request the trade have we heard that have publicly said that it was a shock and they lived playing somewhere, there are dozens over the years, sure they understand its a business but they still don't like when it happens and other players do take notice

We are not taking campbell contract unless there are taking gallagher's lol we had enough bad contracts....and I would keep Matheson unless you are getting a 50 point defenseman value back in return.. he is a montrealer and loves it here and we like him too... playing his best hockey of his career... why trade him and his cap hit is fair too.
