NHL talent needs to be added this offseason. Let the prospects play in ROCH and if it's obvious they're too good then they can get their chance.

Détails additionnels:
Skinner has been scoring but his overall impact is detrimental. LAST in the entire league in xga/60. Kills the pp. Blindly throws the puck around. Not sure what a trade would even look like but I could see a team like SJS valuing him as a way to bridge some of their prospects until they're ready

A harsh reality is for the moment, no worthwhile UFA (there are so few to begin with) or player with a NTC is coming here. Their best bet is to jettison the veterans who are occupying spots otherwise meant for younger high upside players. Even if that team is young and is inconsistent, at minimum you raise their potential ceiling and make the fun to watch. And they can grow together under a new leadership group.

If his overall impact is “detrimental” you are paying way more than that for us to take on like 8m for the next few or so years lol

I agree with the Skinner thing, unfortunately he has a ntc and he only wanted to play for buffalo or toronto. Also, he is way overpaid, offense only wingers making 9 million are not players other teams are gonna want. I remember hearing the brindamour stuff, he said he was glad Skinner was gone and you couldn't win with guys like him. It's nice that he is sticking up for granato, seems a bit self serving though. As for some of the other stuff, I thought lablanc was an awful hockey player, maybe I heard wrong, I don't watch many Sharks games. Not sure why ostlund for cates would be a thing, I think ostlund has been developing as expected for a mid first, hopefully he kills it at the world juniors. I'm not suggesting that he, or any of our players are off limits, I think you are selling awfully low here. Finally, my own preference is to sell mittelstadt for a physical defensive d, we need at least one of our top 3 centers to play a 200 foot game and be able to win faceoffs, Thompson and cozens are already signed long term and would be my choices to keep. Agree or disagree, not sure how much any of it matters, adams and granato would need to lose a dozen more games in a row before pegula would even consider firing them, I can't imagine any big changes unless that happens.

He'd be the team's leading scorer. I could see the Sharks seeing value in him despite his defensive deficiencies. Give the younger prospects someone who can help develop their offensive games.

Maybe i'm being overactive but Cozens is so frustrating. His first two years were not impressive and last year I feel like his offensive metrics were inflated by the team's style of play and a ton of scoring off the rush. His defensive play was bad last season and hasn't improved at all this year. His puck skills and instincts are non-existent. Casey has improved so much and has fixed a main part of his game that was his main weakness; puck protection in the offensive zone. I don't think they need to make a decision this offseason but as of now, long-term, I would choose to keep Tage and Casey. Hopefully Savoie or Kulich can be impact players at C too.

Sharks already have Hertl, Couture for that. Absolutely terrible way for them to use that cap space when better players could be available and more importantly they could get more assets in return if they used it to take other bad contracts

His contract is 3 years after this, which is kinda a perfect placeholder for the guys like Smith and (hopefully) Celebrini so I don’t hate the idea! But that likely never happens with the NTC. Next year and for the next few sharks are likely to be playing near the cap floor while the build up through the draft and development rather than high priced FA most likely. So the money could be there for this, but is it smart and does he fit the mold Grier is trying to build? I think sharks pass after serious consideration! In the end the hustle and no quit the sharks are starting to show the last 10-12 games is more important that a little extra flash!

Living in Cali with low expectations > Being in the snow all season, getting booed off the ice after every period

I could see him waiving

Being on a team close to being a playoff team vs one that just started accepting a rebuild is a big turn off for players!
