What was the concept here?

Improve the backend and center depth now and in the long term, add size and physicality without sacrificing too much offense. Structuring the team for playoffs when checking becomes tighter and there's less space, and setting us up for a clean transition into the next wave of up and comers when they're due for raises (Woll, Knies, Robertson, Cowan, Minten, etc.)

B. Want to come to Toronto
C. Leave a decent situation in Chicago from 0 pressure to enormous pressure?

Because he's made clear he wants to compete for a cup, the reason why he requested a trade from CBJ to what he thought would be a more competitive team, one that ended up being exactly the opposite of that? The better question would be why wouldn't he pursue what has driven him to become the athlete he is, that being success?

That Jones trade is a hell of an overpay...also why does every Leafs and Sens fan want Nick Seeler? He is not very good

1. Nylander AND Liljegren AND picks for a accurately paid 32 year old 2C, and a replacement level defenceman ... What?

3. Seth Jones is no longer worth half of that contract. Chicago would have to add sweeteners for a team to take on that albatross contract.
