Honestly what about a Anderson+ for Rakell deal? Habs aren't retaining for 3 more years on Andy but swapping for another struggling player, sure.

Would have to be Anderson++ for Rakell. Man just came off of a 60 pts season. Rakell has had a slow 17 games, doesn't mean he is a cap dump. If we are talking about slow starting players then we may as well throw McDavid in the mix. Like get real here

There's no reason Montreal would retain on Anderson (or any player with a long term contract) for that kind of return. They don't need the space.
