The avs don't even have a 2nd line. Avs need to get another top 6 player considering Lekhonen is gonna be out for a while.
Kovalenko ain't coming over till the end of the season and we still don't know how he will adapt to the nhl.

If anything you can make a case that they need better goal keeping being 28th in save percentage. But no your solution is to trade for winger and make him the 2C, expect a guy coming off hip surgery to play wing and have an AHLer play on the 2nd line? Do you think that even if TOR were dumb enough to do that trade Nylander would produce the numbers he has with Kane and Tufte when he has played 80% of TOI with at least one of Tavares, Matthews or Marner? This goes to one of the issues I have with Bednar, he needs to get guys going like RyJo, Drouin and Tatar and instead of giving them some extended looks to let them get in a groove he goes to playing MacK and Mikko 20+ minutes a night. But pulling the plug 17 games in the season is the ultimate panic move.

Avs still need a top 6 forward. Drouin ain't cutting it. Tatar is more noticeable In a good way then drouin.

With Drouin you know you’ll get 40pts just based off of his career averages but dude has somebody living in his head rent free because he has an ass load of talent.
