No mcdavid has a NMC and I know he definitely won't wave it for Anaheim

I kinda hope LA gets him kinda like the Gretz trade
cause that means hes going to STL for like 5 months before leaving in FA

IF McDavid gets moved, and I mean this with all due respect to ANA's strong start. You can bet he wants to go a team that has their **** together and is already a contender.

If he decided to get moved, he knows the chaos this will ripple throughout the NHL and he's going to be very specific and go to a team that's proven they know how to build properly. We're probably talking about less than five team that would be involved. He's not going to want to go a team that's coming out of a rebuild. He's been there and done that.

That said, I think the value is more than fair, but I just think it's the wrong team. I'd even argue that you guys don't need McDavid. You have the tools up front to build around. Start looking at defense to take you to the next level.

That package would get McDavid in my eyes

Edmonton would accept but McDavid's NMC would decline

Especially since they just hired his Jr. coach to coach the Oil.

That's five first, multiple of them top 3 pieces, how deluded are you to think a team would even consider paying that much? You know the whole problem that other teams have learned from watching Toronto and Edmonton struggle over the years? You can't get a cup relying on one star to carry the team.

Think of how many GM's would cream at the idea of having Zegras, MacTavish and Carlsson to build around. Not to mention Terry and Mintyukov.

Stay the course, add defense as you can and eventually address goaltending. Former Pens' prospect Calle Clang could wind up being a serious NHL goalie.
