I do like the Bison King addition. While he won't ever live up to the 4th overall hype, he has been decent defensively over the last couple years. IF that's all he stays, then that's fine. If he develops better, great. Low risk addition, and he is basically guaranteed to be better than reaves.

As for the big trade, I'd be hesitant to move Bertuzzi. He got off to a slow start, but I feel like he is finally beginning to work. Downgrading from Bert to Dube is very risky. I'd also be hesitant to break up that 3rd line with how good they have been. I do like the Zadorov-Klingberg exchange for each team. Zadorov brings the additional defense the Leafs need, while Klingberg can bring the offense the Flames need while being more capable of being sheltered in that system.

I'm sure that Boston is just a placeholder team when it comes to retaining, but if not, then Boston can't retain and won't retain.

This trade makes zero sense for the Flames.

-Vladar has positive value according to the insiders (somewhere around a 3rd ish).
-Klingberg isn't enough of an offensive upgrade on Rasmus Andersson to not call that a cap dump still.
-So if any picks are changing hands, Calgary should be getting them for retention. It would be it's own deal essentially just for TO to clear room for Zadorov and Calgary isn't taking a bad contract just to facilitate a trade request since it seems like half the league wants Zadorov.
-Dube there is unnecessary.
