Canucks decline. If the 1st gets moved, it’s for a Hronek level young RHD, Liljegren doesn’t meet that level.

I think you underestimate how underrated lily is he’d be on VANs top pair with Hughes for sure (over Hronek) we just won’t be able to pay him 4-5M next year unfortunately

There’s absolutely no shot Liljegren would be top pair over Hronek. Hronek is playing on pace for 88 points with Hughes, is great in his own zone, and they have amazing chemistry together. Hronek is by far the most skilled and best defensive partner Hughes has ever played with. Liljegren simply isn’t worth a 1st to Vancouver unless he suddenly takes a massive step forwards, similar to Hronek did when the Canucks traded for him.

If lily played with Hughes and not Jake McCabe he’d probably be on a similar point pace lol I swear on my life he’d be on your top pair in VAN lol
