Way too much risk for anyone to take that contract imo

Anders contract isn’t great either. Considering age, positional need, and depth Isles could play every day at forward as a replacement for Lee makes me think hard about this one

Some fans will want to run nurse out of town until he’s gone then they will want the gm ran out of town because of the state of the defence. Nurse is a pillar within the core of the team it’s going to take something catastrophic to even consider. At least for the next 5 years.

He is painfully slow. Definitely looking like he’s taken a step back this year. 56 goals in the last two years so he is getting a longer leash from the coaching staff (plus he’s the captain) but man as much as I love Anders I would look at moving him if possible. He has a full NTC this year and a 15 team M-NTC beginning next year

He’s not that bad. Worth 9M? No maybe 7 but unfortunately that’s the contract Holland gave him. Oilers fans just expect every roster player to be McDavid at their respective position.

Nurse is a pretty good 2nd D right now. His contract might be the worse in the NHL tho. Paid like a #1 and it’s buyout proof. Lees contract is buyout friendly.

Think it’s more important to add a winger for barzals line. Holmstrom is a solid 4th liner, he doesn’t have the skillset to play on the top line.

Huberdeau is already 30 YO and he’s worse and just as slow as Anders Lee. Hard pass lol.
