Its not just the right side, the entire D-core sucks, I have a feeling it has more to do with the system than the players. Also its worth trying Thompson out before looking for help from the outside. He's the best defensive prospect we have had in a while.

I've been thinking he comes up sometime next season, but I definitely wouldn't be opposed to giving him a look now. We've got to get some stability in the lineup and start to develop our younger talent like Goncalves, Fortier, Thompson before they all bottom out and become no better than AHLers

Yeah nothing wrong with that then. With TB having three 7ths this year I don't think parting with a 6th would be that tough.
SJ would be a good destination, question obviously being if it's a place he would waive to or have on his M-NTC list
