Tbh I don’t know who you would swing for on D. I think a lot of leafs d troubles is in front of the next and missed assignments. I think getting a big body in front makes the team much better in their own end.

Wow are you saying Abruzesse has value as a C prospect? And Timmins is a 7/8D so 1.1 is a lot of cap for that.

Blais is a legit bottom 6 guy and I think Bertuzzo is in year 10 as a Blue and a solid 6/7D guy so why would they make that deal?

Why not throw in the mighty Hirvonen or Robertson as well? Or is there another posting where Robertson goes for a top 6 F or top 4 D?

Timmins had a great showing in press on, RFA and young. Nick had a decent showing in a few stints. This trade would only happen if the blues decided to rebuild. Picks could go either way but both players are RFAs vs UFAs on the Blues.

Leafs are getting two good role players so offer something of value not important parts of (as biz put it ) a vanilla team…Abruzesse you can try and sell back to Dubas and Timmins or equivalent can be had on waivers (again).

I like your idea of getting those two,for the Leafs though as I think both are needed up there but please make a decent offer.
