Believe it or not the Hawks goaltending has been a strength so far this season. Even if it weren't, they're not buying a goalie. They have Stauber in Rockford that could split duties with Mrazek or Soderblom.

Man if they're getting a young goalie signed at 2.6 for 3 years who just made an all-star team for a 4th I think they take that even if they don't need him. That's not even buying a goalie, that's like upgrading a 4th to a 2nd, it's just free value.

I don't know. He underperformed in the playoffs last year and has been hit hard early on. The value is definitely there but I still don't think Chicago does this trade simply because there's a logjam there already imo. Now if you want to revisit that McDavid for Perry and a 2nd...
