You cannot equivocate a 13.8% shooting percentage at let's say 20 TOI to a 10% shooting percentage at let's say 17 TOI.
If you were to give Eller the same minutes as Johanssen, their numbers would be pretty damn close. They are probably going to assume that Eller can fill the role of Johanssen or Burakovsky can

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see why those two numbers aren't comparable, especially considering that both players have had over 700 shots in their career (MJ - 738, LE - 851).
(Also, Johansson plays about 17 minutes a game to Eller's 15, but regardless)
That being said, I don't disagree that Eller (or better Burakovsky) can fill that role to at least a approximately comparable extent.
Little did everyone in 2017 know... changing out MoJo for Eller and saving cap space to bring back Oshie was always the right choice. What at first looks like an easy win for New Jersey turns out to be a massive victory for Washington
Haha I mean it worked out pretty well as they won the cup and got Mojo back eventually lol.

Thought for a second that the Devils just traded Andreas Johnsson to the Caps for a 2nd and a 3rd, had to do a double take and... alas
