I don't know about this y'all. It seems to me like he's a younger but more expensive Nino Niederreiter. Jets might be better off trying to re-sign Nino instead.

(Also, just pretend that there were trades for Jets pending UFAs that I didn't sign. The Jets didn't lose them for nothing in this fantasy scenario, I'm just lazy.)

Jets plan on being a playoff team so we do likely lose all the UFAs for nothing. It would be Rutger McRoarty or Lambert ahead of Chaz but that is the plan.

We can make Garland work cap wise for Appleton and Stanley. I would have wanted the mid round pick coming to the Jets but not material.

Others posted that they want a RD so they would want DeMelo but there is no chance we move our top pair RHD while we are in the playoff hunt and Van needs to make something happen soon so they can dress a full lineup.

If RHD is the desired return Columbus makes the most sense for Peeke.

If that's the case, then the Jets and Canucks aren't good trading partners. The Jets are low on NHL-level RD.
