Alex Lyon isn't being put on waivers, Detroit is going with 3 Goalies again. Grand Rapids signed Michael Hutchinson to replace Lyon in GR. He's staying up.

They signed him to a PTO.

Khan said it was a 25 game hitch for Hutch.

He was signed to an actual contract, Sorry but PTOs aren't contracts they're just try out. And the season starts in 3 days PTOs are technically over with.

"The length of a PTO contract is 25 games, but it can be terminated at any time. So some of those names come in for a week ― or maybe even only a weekend ― to fill a roster spot on a team dealing with recalls or injuries. A game or two on a busy weekend with an unfamiliar team is not much time to make an impact."

Hutchinson was signed to a PTO, he was NOT signed to replace Lyon as you claimed. Just stop digging, you've been proven wrong.
