I’m not gonna lie Risto has been absolutely horrible for years but he legit had a good year last year. He played like a decent 2nd pairing, solid 3rd pairing guy. He is still making like $3M per year too much, but last year was the first year he showed he could actually be an NHL defenseman. Just figured I would let you know lol. The deal is still crazy in favor of the Flyers and Risto is still probably a dump for now but Torts and the assistant coach focusing on the defense really helped out his game in the last year.
