Heinola has played too well to be dumped in the A...even if it works best as he is waiver exempt

As an outsider, I think Jets are better than last season. Only question is to they "go for it" this season, become TDL sellers. Lots of good pieces on expiring contracts.

So that means Stanley and Chisholm on waivers, right?

When the only "controversial" move is the 6/7/8 defenseman decision, then things aren't too bad.

Yes, it's a risk but their play hasn't been inspiring so if a team takes a flyer on them, it's a roster spot taken up.

The fact that Kovacevic got claimed makes sense as there aren't that many right shot D's around...plenty of LD so I would take a chance on sending those guys down and then if they don't get claimed, look for a trading partner for Stan

I really like those D combos, Heinola is overdue to get a serious shot in the NHL, and paired with defensively responsible Dillon should work fine.

I've only watched one of the preseason games but they are just that, preseason where lineups are often more then half made up of AHLers, prospects and PTO's, need to see how these guys do against full NHL lineups before we can say they've arrived.

It'll really suck if they waive both Chisholm and Stanley and lose both of them... 🙄... I'd play the long game myself and keep Chisholm and Stanley, demote waiver exempt Ville and demote Capobianco but I doubt they'll do that.

I'd also keep Gus as the 13th forward, his skating looks improved, wouldn't give up on him just yet and always need centers.
