Very easy decline from Tampa. They are still in their Cup window, and that offer does little to replace the ppg+ loss of Stamkos. A deal will most likely get worked out in the 7-7.5 range after the season, or.maybe 6.5-7 if Tampa gets a better deal. Stamkos would also never waive his nmc in this scenario, and even if he did, Tampa easily says no without one of McCann/Gourde/maybe someone like Tolvanen/Burakovsky as part of the package in addition to other pieces. Tampa would never accept middle/bottom 6 guys as the "help now" pieces in a Stamkos trade since they are still very much competing for Cups with this core. Any trade involving Stamkos is going to cost something valuable now, not just magic beans and/or prospects that may pan out several years+ from now.
