This is not a good trade for the avs

It's mostly for the lolz, but I'm trying to figure out a trade that gets us a fwd and D pretty much at the cost of Girard.

I think making a trade along these lines makes a lot of sense, I'd just be weary of taking that Cizikas contract

The Avs give up the two best assets in this trade I don’t get it

We should be trading Girard for futures, not active players. We can't trade his 5 million away just to get the same cap back. That defeats the purpose of trading him.

Romanov would be a solid addition with toews leaving.

If we also lose Toews, then it does make sense to go for a guy like Romanov.

I can tell you they will lose toews unless for some reason he takes a hometown discount then I be shocked.

Just from this list we have 8 forwards coming back, plus kovalenko coming and hopefully landy plays next season so that will give us 10 players.

Avs could either try and sign some free agents or look internally at forward spot and then try and resign toews if they have money.

We're not trading Romanov.
