A bit less, cause Eichel had term and played Center, but definitely a nice haul with about 3-4 assets equivalent to a 1st rounder or more

Way worse? Nylander is not much better. Reinhart at 6.5 and 70-80 points is more valuable than Nylander at 10 and 80-90 points

You do also know Reinhart's contract is up this year and hes probably not staying at 6.5 million either soooo for now its Nylander at 6.9 and reinhart at 6.5

Sorry bud, no logic in that statement. (in Nylander isn't resigned) Are you trading the Leafs seven UFAs too? What makes you think Reinhart resigns, or the Leafs want to resign him?
Leafs are better with Nylander than Reinhart this season, I would think.

Nylander on a different team will post LOWER scoring totals.

He might not even be a ppg player on another team, say he's a 65-70 point guy making $9 to $10 million on a long term contract, like J. Gaudreau or J. Huberdeau.

Reinhart may even become a ppg if placed in Nylander's roster spot on the Leafs and if you sign him, he'd be in the $7 to $8 million range.

Why worry about Nylander or Reinhart's UFA status. Leafs are going to have cap next season, and they will use that cap. No reason to think Nylander or Reinhart are SO necessary for the Leafs to sign. And basing trades on UFA signability isn't wise. Worry about the Cup this year .
Just my opinion, Nylander isn't going to resign as Leaf. Leafs will spread out the money a bit. Likely they won't get a RW as good as Nylander, but that what happens when there is cap league.
For example. If the Leafs have 10m to spend on two wingers, what is better, a 9m and 1m or Let's say 6m Bertuzzi and a 4m somebody else.

Another thought about this post, is if Nylander isn't sign by the end of pre season, I don't want to see the daily distractions and drama created by Nylander, his dad and agent, Toronto media and fans speaking out about the contract situation. 5 years ago dealing this Nylander's rfa contract was a huge headache.

I've also agree and stated before, seems like the 1 yr deals given to Bertuzzi and Domi are a Plan B option if Nylander doesn't resign, the $10 million he wants goes to the other 2 guys.

Media love to create stories, whether they are true or not. Difference between now and 5 years ago. Nylander is under contract to the Leafs till July 1st. Years ago he was RFA, free to sign with any team he wanted. I thought the Leafs handled the situation badly. They were on 118 point pace when Nylander finally signed. I would just offered him just a one year contract after the season started. Make Nylander wait for an offer sheet, and the Leafs then could have matched if they wanted.. Nylander was awful that shortened season with the Leafs.

Back when the Leafs had winger depth, with Marner, Hyman, Kapanen, Marleau, Brown and Johnsson. It was far easier to allow Nylander to sit.

That's true. But Leafs shouldn't worry about next season and Nylander. Let's imagine the Leafs have 9.25m allotted for Nylander next summer, but he signs elsewhere, well that's 9.25m the Leafs can spend on other player(s). Really it's seems so crazy to worry about Nylander and next season.
