A Rielly-Chiarot pairing would be disastrous. Keep Brodie. Chiarot is bad enough. You make it even worse playing him on his off side. 😲

Chariot is horrible, this would be a massive massive downgrade and would lock the leafs into that awful contract, even retained It's a pure boar anchor.

Brodie is pretty solid defensively, Janrkok ain't worth a 4th he is worth a 3rd, and now by trading him for Chariot and signing Comtois we get worse defensively and offensively.

Don't understand people keep trading Jarnkrok. Contact is good and under control for a few years and he played well up and down the living be up last year

It's certainly a great trade for Detroit

As bad as Chiarot is this isn't even a good trade for Detroit. We'd be paying Chiarot 2 million for three years and lose a retention slot that could be used on much better trades. We'd also get a decent defender that leaves after the season and we'd be out of a 3rd round pick to top it off.

Detroit is not a cup contender for another 3-4 years of building and Brodie doesn't help us get there any sooner. We can live with Chiarot for a few more years and save that draft pick and the retention slot and use the cap saved on something that will still be here when we're getting ready to contend.
