No i dont know why you wouldnt, down the line theres no chance of paying all of these prospects and Ostlund didnt have a good year, if you can get him for the extension that i put in the trade it is a perfect timeline to tandem with Levi and his rfa status. Sabres are automatically a playoff team with Helle and you dont give up any roster players

Take out stanley, strbak, and ostlund. Nobody is paying three premium pieces for exactly one year of hellebuyck, to then double down and cough up a 40 million dollar contract for a 30 year old goalie. There's still a salary cap, and gms don't seem to wanna commit huge chunks to the goalie position, and our gm isn't exactly a trailblazer, he's pretty conservative.

what makes u think Hellebuyck will agree to a 5year extension?

Hellebuyck is probably behind Sorokin but it's close. He's arguably better than the other two though. Not every elite goalie is Russian.

I think theyre probably top 3 forsure and he will likely be given the opportunitty to speak to said teams and get an idea none of Jersey, Detroit, Sabres are offering max term OR <8.5 PER

Teams allow a players agent to negotiate an extension when they’ve basically agreed to the terms of the trade
They don’t allow the player agent to just talk to every team out there- that would be unusual
