We need to land some people in FA in two years. That would help.
It's clear we won't improve fast enough from within.

My feeling looking at the prospect pool and what we have in the system already the FA focus needs to be top pair RD, top line RW and starting Goalie. The rest of this lineup can be taken care of through our prospect pool and the 24 draft. But with the cap space if we play it smart those positions should be easy to fill without hurting our long term cap situation that will finally be better come next year.

We need a 1st overall type player.

But Cole Eiserman at 2 to move to LW and then you slide Eklund to C or Levshunov RD at 3 also are great options! If we don’t get Celebrini I think Levshunov should be the focus as he fills an immediate and long term need on this team.

Anaheim has finished last twice and got upended by better markets. This isn’t me crying about San Jose this is just what I’ve seen in the past. Detroit is a weird one as they have a bigger market but get screwed. Sharks haven’t ever done poorly in the lottery but I can’t recall a time they’ve ever moved up.

Mark my words if sharks finish dead last next year I give them a 3% chance of winding up with the 1st OA. Likely Montreal or CHI wins 1st again.

I don’t know which one I want more! While Celebrini would be awesome because it gives the sharks a powerful 1-2 puck with smith, Levshunov is a bigger offensive 2 way RD that we badly need! So a big part of me is leaning Levshunov over Macklin but in all honesty it’s easier to find too 4 D in the middle of the 1st than it is to find a 1C! I’m torn I guess in the end I’ll be happy with either one.
