Wholeheartedly agree. Listen, nobody is saying losing your #1 and #2 centers isn't going to hurt. It's going to suck not having Bergy and Krejci both on and off the ice. But this is still the same defense and goaltending that was the best in the league last year. Still have two top 10-15 wingers in the league with some great complimentary pieces. Going to need Zacha, Coyle and Geekie to step up. Need to see two of them in the 60-point range, but this is still a very good team.

Bruins still have excellent D and G so they'll make the playoffs in my opinion. It'll be interesting to see how losing Bergy will affect the team. Not only because of his hockey talent. But also from a leadership perspective. He was their identity.

I think there will be a ton of parity in the Atlantic this season. I feel like all of the teams in your top 7 could make the playoffs and it wouldn't surprise me at all. It should be one of the more memorable playoff races in the Atlantic in quite a while. Just based on that parity alone, I think laughing off Boston and acting as if they could never finish in the top 3 of the Atlantic is a hotter take than you think it is.
