Description

Tampa solidifies the middle/top 6 with Tatar, and they are still able to roll with 22. By finding a spot to trade Myers(doesn't necessarily have to be Chicago) l, they clear enough cap to offer Tatar in the 1.7 range for this year. When the cap increases following the year, Tatar can then either re-sign with more term possibly or find a different team that best fits for him.

Tatar should sign soon or he may price himself out of the NHL. He may have to play in the KHL next season. This is bargain hunting season for GM's. Suter took less AAV to get a 2 year deal.

But he's younger than Tatar. I wouldn't want to be an unsigned 32 year old UFA this time of year. Teams have spent their cap. Tatar might be getting some bad agent advice. 🤔

IMO Tatar would be a good signing for most teams. He might like one more run at the Cup with the Lightining. If the cap works....seems like a good deal for Tampa too.

The Hawks don't need to add players at the moment but they could use a RD to keep Zaitsev in the press box. Not sure Myers is much of an improvement though and the Hawks are toying with the idea of moving Kaiser to the right side.
