Tippett seems to be in the mold of what we already have in spades : offensive forward
We need to add 2-way ability, not goal scoring.
While Tippett finally broke out and scored 27 goals, I am not comfortable paying that price... Dorion's asset management has really hurt the future the last few years so we can't afford this kind of stuff anyway
Compare it with DeBrincat's return... The 1st cancel each others, then you have :
Erik Brännström + Mathieu Joseph >> 2024 4th round pick (DET)
Lassi Thomson > Donovan Sebrango
2024 2nd round pick (OTT) > Dominik Kubalik
Yeah, we can't afford to pay more for Tippet than what we got for DeBrincat, particularly after having downgraded a 7th OA pick to DET's 1st

Take out Brannstrom, then it's a yes.
With the amount of injuries chabot and chychrun have had, Brannstrom is so valuable because he elevates his game with more minutes, can play both sides, and plays both PP & PK. Personally think he has a lot more value than his stats show.
Agreed with this. Without Brannstrom, I'd do it, he's really undervalued...
24 pts per 82 games from 21 y/o to 23 y/o, improving his defensive game a lot, was Top-30 in defensive metrics among D-men last season and his expected offensive stats suggests that there could be more offense coming. Everything indicates that he could do what he did but from the 2nd pairing.
Or if Brannstrom is involved, I would do Brannstrom + 2nd + Thomson + Sokolov + Joseph
But at the same time, Tippett is young enough to be part of the Flyers rebuild so no reason to trade him for quantity
