But really what is BUF looking to do, theyre looking to make the playoffs and now. Greenway on 2nd line doesn;t look remotely as good as a 2nd line of Cozens-Koneckny-Quinn and a 3rd line of Mittlestadt-greenway-Peterka. Having a plethora of shiny prospects coming in the future isnt too damaged by a trade like the above to get alot closer to their goal.

I can't follow the logic of any of the moves, which appear to be interconnected:

- If the Sabres were able to get Calgary to agree to that package of Mangiapane, a 1st and the Flames best prospect in Pelletier, all for a middling AHL prospect like Cederqvist, Adams would run and hide with the steal he got while Conroy would get shredded by the Flames fans and media.
- However, if the Sabres were then miraculously able to brainwash Briere by flipping that package for Konecny, why on earth would the Sabres send him to Calgary?

No it isn’t. Do some research and you would know that Briere’s asking price to move TK is multiple 1sts and multiple good prospects. He set that ridiculously high asking price because he doesn’t want to move TK because the two of them are close and have a history together.

Briere will not get that much for Konecny, he'll get a similar package to what Ottawa just got for Debrincat. Most people, myself included, know Konecny is unlikely to score at a ppg again and will likely return to being a 60-65 point winger moving forward

If you did some research on their history together and how he got along with Torts last year you would know they put that giant asking price out there because they would rather keep and re-sign him

Yeah I get your point, I don't see him getting moved this year. Probably next offseason he gets moved assuming the Flyers are still far away from being competitive, which seems likely.
