I see people using =/- as a way to analyze if a player is good defensively pretty regularly, like that Leafs fan did in this very thread.

Don't want to continue the silly +/- argument but Sanderson was 20 y/o... It shouldn't have been expected of him to be as good as some of the best D-men defensively in the league... I am not sure why these things need to be pointed out
