Leafs aren't giving Timmins up on a waiver claim, they will trade him for scraps instead of nothing if they have to

I'd be fine with picking him up on waivers, but i doubt he'd get to us without being picked up. Might as well move a 7th for him instead if we want him

I wish the Avs would pick up one more depth forward. I'm not that comfortable with them rolling with Meyers/Foudy/some other young guy in not one, but two spots. That's tough already, but then I look at Cogs and get nervous about his ability to stay healthy. We can't end up filling three forward positions again with guys trying to crack or finally stick in the NHL.

From my understanding the leafs are going to try and go with a 21 to 20 man roster to start the season, which means guys are hitting the waiver wire, there is a chance someone doesn't take him and the leafs can keep him for 30 days.. but I'd like to have him back

No chance Timmins would slide all the way to COL on waivers

That's the reality of the salary cap world, how many people are going to want to come to Colorado when it's known they don't give their prospects a chance..

I’d flip Foudy and LOC. Foudy needs skill players to be effective. LOCs skill set shines through just fine in a 4th line role

Maybe but maybe nobody else wants to take a chance on his injury troubles

I think that’s some wishful thinking lol.

IF he went on waivers, I would say the odds of him slipping to COL would be less than 20%

    I walked into that one…

Nonetheless, be prepared for the Hunt/J Johnson era to begin at #6/7 D

Teams definitely would, he's been healthy recently and he isn't expensive.

A team would definitely trade at least a late pick if they wanted him to skip the waiver order

they can do a 20 man roster without trading anyone Knies, Holmberg and Robertson are all exempt from waivers.

If Timmins hits waivers, I would guess he doesn't make it past Arizona. But I would give up a 6th or 7th for him to come compete for the 6/7th D spot.

Read the nhl is gonna investigate the leafs for putting Murray on LTIR when he was Ok to play in playoffs and all sudden he's done for the season.
It's gonna be interesting to see what the nhl does.

They are not investigating it like that lol. He was ‘ok’ to play, meaning he could dress for a playoff game if they were desperate enough but he most likely was never okay to play in a regular season game. There are many players who are not as injured who are there which would open a whole big can of worms for the league.
