Fetti in the lineup, wonder if he can develop into an NHL C or not, he is very Paul Stastny esque with a little more offensive skill

They lost someone that created a whole mess because for over a year people had this hanging over them. Team is not a better defensive team and more depth. Team is better in terms of going forward but in terms of the production it's less but can be made up with a breakout for Vilardi, kupari, having the cap to keep namestnikov. Sure trading Hellebuyck and scheifele sounds good but they are key members and if the market isn't there why force a trade for maybe a 1st decent prospect and roster replacement. They aren't going to trade them unless they get a return they expect and will try to keep them if they want to stay.

If Vilardi or Perfetti can produce while playing C, the Jets are way further ahead than last year.

Top 6 is similar or better, 3rd line should be great and the 4th line should be better.

With the 4 new forwards, who are defensively strong, the team defense should be way better as well.

Add in LB over Rittich, the backup goaltending should be good for 30+ games

It basically comes down to if Perfetti or Vilardi can play 2C

They're probably a better overall team, depth improved, really don't think Wheeler will be missed at all.

This team will be more like the team we saw the first 45-50 games of last year. The Bowness systems will be further along, full seasons of Nino and Vlad with the new trio should see this team give up less and win more close games as well have the ability to lock it down. LB is worth an extra win or 3 and without PLD taking dumb a** penalties all the time I see 100 points, 3rd in Central. Likely get bounced by Stars or Avs in 1st round but there will certainly be pushback!
