Unless you think Lindholm is going to take the Wings to the playoffs, no way the Wings should do. They shouldn't do it anyway, save your assets instead of spending them on a upcoming UFA.

I'd pass, I'm not a Lindholm guy. He's gonna get overpaid on that next deal.

That pick way a lottery pick before Islanders traded for Horvat. Raty is a centre and I think better prospect than Hanas. Do I think Calgary gets a ton more than this? No. But they likely get a better offer than that. We shouldn't be looking to add Lindholm. He wants too much money and we shouldn't be willing to pay him.

I definitely do think he takes us to the playoffs. Adding him at 2C instead of Copp or Compher (I'm not the biggest fan of either of them just yet) would be a major improvement. His addition also makes us an extremely deep team where all 4 lines can create offense. The only way this is worthwhile though is if he signs a team friendly contract, which I have heard is unlikely.

Detroit has zero interest in Elias Lindholm right now. Andrew Copp and J T Compher are just fine as our 2C and 3C respectively. Plus we've Kasper and Danielson coming up in the next 1-2 more seasons. Elias Lindholm wants 8x8.5M no thank you.
