When has Karlsson ever come out and said that he wants Pittsburgh only? I don't think so, And i seriously doubt that Ben Chiarot waives for San Jose. And Detroit has no interest in Petry. We're already set. And that lame offer isn't getting you Karlsson at $16,000,000 retained either.

Why would Petry want to play for detroit , one of the most mediocre teams in the league ?
The sharks trade is pretty risky considering how bad EK was the last few years . If he gets hurt and misses half a season again it’s going to really hurt the penguins.
I’m sure Chiarot waves because it gets him out the that hell hole in Detroit. SJS may be equally as horrible but at least he moves to a beautiful city with great weather instead of wasting away in Detroit

unfortunately, i don't think anyone takes Petry unless we retain or take on a bad contract. Petry doesn't fit the Yzerplan either. Hextall has destroyed our chance at being truly competitive. Granlund, Petry, Rutta for 2 more years and one year left on Carter, these are terrible contracts to have and even worse to try and unload. I can't even see a path to Karlsson, they want Pettersson, they can have him, he's softer than baby **** anyway. I think it would have to be multiple 1sts as well if they are retaining, and at his age it's not worth it.
