- Ilya Safonov signs his ELC from Russia and has a great first year to build on.
- Kurashev isn't seen as a part of the future due to his inconsistent play, so they trade him for draft capital and a 1 year goalie that also gets them to the cap floor
- 3 Veterans are signed in Free Agency. Similar to the Foligno and Perry deals this year and helps get to the cap floor
- Hawks also land the 5th Overall Pick in the 2024 NHL Draft and select Berkley Catton - (WHL) Center

Detroit isn't trading Husso unless Hellebuyck is coming home. Noway will Cossa be close to being the number 1 starter by 2024 or 2025 he's going to need a lot of seasoning.

CHI won't get hit with bonus overages because they have more than enough cap space this year to cover any and all possible performance bonuses.

Also, Safonov is under contract through the 24-25 season in the KHL, so he won't be eligible for the NHL until 25-26, and isn't likely to be more than a bottom 6 forward in the NHL.
