jets fan but I love this sabres roster

Description
Joki and Olof are moved for cap/over stocked at their positions, I understand that you hate to give up good prospects but the sabres are so stocked I feel like they could give up a couple to give this team a boost and get them in the playoff conversation, the still have Savoie benson etc, only ? is in net at this point. not sure if this would be a package Philly would be interested in at all but definitely makes the sabres a better team and helps the young forward group out.

Yep lol, buffalo is in an interesting spot, you don't want to trade prospects but at some point all the spots are filled...and then they will have too, if I was gm I would do it sooner than later with a hockey trade that adds a little experience to the group, still lacking a goalie but Levi doesn't seem to far away.

I don’t see them moving Krebs but if you swapped him for Rosen and take out Rousek I could see them maybe doing it?

Tk for 1st, Rosen, Joki
Laughton for Ostlund and Olofsson

Maybe that’s fair? Idk It would be essentially two 1sts and a 2nd for Tk which is around what the flyers want and then a 1st and a dump for Laughton which is probably less than what they want but the TK part of the trade makes up for it

You are correct, Buffalo has a great line up and better future.
Buffalo will have two spots to fill next year, Girgensons and Okpooso.
Jost is a waiver claim and this could also be his final season with the Sabres.

That is three forward spots that could be vacant next year, Buffalo does not have to trade prospects.
Take out Girgensons, Okposo, and jost while inserting Savoie, Kulich and Benson and you will get even more excited.
Adding Konecny, and Laughton while making another hole at RHD (Jokiharju) is not good asset management.

The Sabres will probably continue stocking their prospect pool, signing players to team friendly contracts as Thompson, Cozens and Samuelsson did.
If a player does not sign a contract commensurate with the Buffalo Cost of Living, they will be traded either to fill holes in the line or picks.

"a dump"
This is refering to Olofsson?
So Victor scoring more goals over the past four seasons than Boeser, make Olofsson a DUMP?
Olofsson will play next year at half the cap hit as DeBrincat yet had one more goal than Alex last year, who played 500 more minutes with Pinto and Batherson as his primary line mates, this makes Olofsson a DUMP?Buffalo may trade him as they may have other forwards who can fill his spot who will be on ELC's, but he is certainly not a DUMP!

The only reason I said dump is because every trade I have done most of the buffalo fans say you are going to hate him on the 2nd line, or olofsson has no value and can't play 5on5. I see the 28 goals and agree but like boeser I feel either has very little value currently.

For it to be even remotely plausible from the Sabres perspective, the Laughton part would need to be removed-
he just doesn’t make any sense for us at all

Konecny could be a fit for us,
but idk that we’d be willing to pay the price u say the Flyers would want
Tough to say though

I don’t think the sabres are ready to go in on an acquisition like Tk but it’s interesting

Agreed
It doesn’t make sense to try & speed up the timeline at forward, while we are still playing it slow (so to speak) in net

Adams has been taking the slow & steady approach the entire time he’s been GM, and it’s yielded great results so far

Many of our fans are insanely impatient,
& want him to start making moves like the Konecny deal
But those are also the clowns who say crap like “Olofsson is worthless” Lol
