How does $6M worth of cap dumps, a 2024 1st, and a 2026 2nd get you Laughton when the Flyers turned down a 2023 1st and a 2023 2nd for Laughton? The Flyers have already turned down a better deal than this. It’s wild to me that people don’t understand it wasn’t a straight trade of Laughton for a 1st and a 2nd. In all reality judging by the reports of the Krug for Sanheim deal I’m assuming one relatively interesting conversation for both sides was Krug + 25/29 + 24 2nd for Sanheim and Laughton.

It’s not too terribly hard to connect the dots there, however, some seem to not be able to do so
