Keller to OTT

Créé par: DorionBurner
Équipe: 2023-24 Sénateurs d'Ottawa
Date de création initiale: 11 juill. 2023
Publié: 11 juill. 2023
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
Dorion already said he's looking for term, therefore Konecny is not what they want (only 2 years left).

OTT is sending a lot of Value for a great winger with lots of term, who is not happy with current situation. Arizona will receive 2 first in 2024, as well as a good roster player in Joseph, and a young, skilled defence-man who needs a change of scenery in Braanstrom (RFA).
*OTT will be under the cap when Toronto buys out Matt Murray.*

Keller is the face of the franchise down there right now. Should they trade him? ABSOLUTELY. But if he can sell some more of those expensive-ass seats, they're going to keep him until they can't. Honestly, I think y'all would be better off trying to target one of the Calgary folks that is desperate to get out.

Not enough quality to pry Keller out of Arizona.

Love Keller he’d be perfect, but it would take a massive package to get him out of there! Think this is light for them.

Still not trading Keller. We’ve picked at 3, 6, 9, 11, 12, and 27 the past 3 drafts, they don’t need more picks, they’re looking to get better, which is exactly what they did this offseason.

Agreed. I'm just not sure there is a sure-fire fit to replace debrincat out there right now. Throwing a bucket of cash at Tarasenko might be the best bet

They may take it if we added Greig or Crookshank to the offer.

Why in the world should Arizona trade Keller? The dude is 24, that makes less than zero sense. They’ve picked 5 times in the first round the last 3 drafts, 4 in the top 12, they have zero use for more picks, especially since they have 3 seconds every year through 26. They’ve basically speed ran rebuilding the prospect system and lost nothing of importance off of the roster.

I feel like sooner or later he will request a trade like chycrun did. Maybe not this summer but in the near future. He's about to enter the prime of his career and hes clearly not happy with the situation in Arizona.

Yeah I mean this right here. Look I lived down there for a year and I went to Yotes games religiously so I feel for y'all, but right now the franchise just isn't in a good place. Maybe the product on the ice will get a lot better this year, which could change some things. But unfortunately its just a bad cycle right now.

Why would he wait out a rebuild that he himself committed to unlike chychrun, just to ask for a trade right when the reinforcements are coming? It doesn’t make any sense, not to mention every quote is of how much he enjoys it here and wants to stay. The reason we’re adding this off-season is to start progressing up the standings. We had a winning home record last year, you don’t get that without talent on the team already

On ice the franchise is in better shape than it’s ever been. The top 6 is already good, they carried the team to a winning home record, the depth was awful so that was addressed this offseason. I feel like no one ever actually listens to the quotes from the players and just uses their own feelings. He’s said numerous times he’s committed, as recently as the nhl awards, he told management he wanted the team to get better so they are, there’s a top 5 prospect system waiting to feed the big club. The only knock is ownership blowing the Tempe deal, but if they can’t get anything done they’ll be forced to sell to Matt Ishiba anyways and the team will still stay

Something's got to give with ownership. I agree that y'all have a lot of exciting young players and things are starting to trend upwards. I also think players will say all the right things to the media until they reach their limit. All that being said, goaltending and defense are still question marks going into next year. If Ingram can prove himself and Moser and Durzi can find some chemistry, y'all will be cooking.

Suns reps have already said they’d be interested if the team was up for sale, the team will never leave with Bettman in charge and it’s why things have calmed down. Ingram is a good backup, and durzi is better suited with valimaki. Keller loves the team and Arizona, quite frankly all of our good players do and it’s a rarity
