Just like my NYR, came out flying around the corner too early from rebuild. Not enough depth, cap or assets to quickly correct. Magically, just like that, all of the other young bragging teams are capped out lol. Pinto will get closer to 3m, Tatar should get 4+m. Norris shoulders most likely will be a reoccurring issue

Norris has never played a full season, hard to EXPECT him to immediately return to peak form. The most games Chychrun has played were 68 in his rookie season.

Can they make playoffs? Absolutely. But sitting here saying "we did it, this is what we needed" and then telling everyone who comments on this they're wrong is just being disingenuous. You brought in Talbot last year who was coming off a few very strong seasons. Why is Korpisalo all of a sudden your savior when he's had one season like what Talbot was coming in on, and that was 4 seasons ago?

Toronto, Florida, Tampa, and Boston are all as good or better than Ottawa. Buffalo and Detroit are both better than last year. Islanders, Rangers, Devils, Hurricanes all as good or better than Ottawa. Columbus is better than last year. Pitt still has Crosby so can't count them out.

All I'm saying is Ottawa didn't do anything that says "this should realistically get them to the playoffs" Not anymore than anyone else.

I don't think enough people are giving credit for how much better this tea is right off the hop with a healthy full season of Norris, Chychrun and Grieg, makes a big difference.
Korpo is the gamble that a lot will hinge on. I would also like to see Soggard get some starts as well.
