He's not. He is right handed, but has played his right D his whole career. Keep in mind, he played for years with Gio in Calgary as a right D. All of this makes no sense

Hes a left handed LD who has played RD for most his career but that does not make him a true RD. Heck we have seen him play LD last season at times.

Even still, NSH is overflowing with defenseman right now and NSH just signed Moleyndk to his ELC. This makes the 3rd LD that NSH has who could potentially see NHL time next year (alongside Stasney and Del Gaizo). There is no room for him, it would create to much of a logjam and Trotz has indicated he wants vets to mentor young players
