As a flyers fan, would love this trade. Nylander is a better player than TK, and the other pieces are equals on better less term contracts. Anything to get out from Sanheims 8 years, I don't think this would ever happen.

Philly is rebuilding and isn't interested in Nylander

Way I would see that is they now have nylander who they can turn into a 3.5 million rental and trade to the highest bidder. Same with Brodie.

Nylanders value would only tank on the Flyers. In Toronto he mostly plays with Matthews as his linemate and in Philly he would get way worse linemates which would lead to him having a way worse season than in Toronto. Also a combination of Nylander and Torts wouldn't most likely go well together at all. Philly is better off trading Konecny for just picks and prospects rather than kicking the can down the road and gambling on Nylanders value at the deadline.

Oh no I meant they would flip nylander before the season. More value in a team getting him for a full year too. Basically a three team deal.

I wouldn't mind it that much if there was a 3 team deal where Philly would be retaining on Nylander. Only one small problem would be that Philly would have no retention spots left for TDL.
