Assuming the Rangers keep Goodrow, sign Miller and Laf to these deals and no new free agent signings. I would give these lines a long runway in order to see if Kakko, Laf and Chytil can take the next steps while ramping up for the playoff push. Keep the "kids" in the top 6 and on the power play units. I would keep Panarin and Zibanejad together for at least half the season unless it is clear it is not working. Let the Breadman get comfortable with Zibanejad gaining the zone, that could be the key to unlocking him for the playoffs. Drop Kreider and Trochek to the third line which could be our "match up" line with some offensive counterpunch. Replace Trouba with Miller on the 2nd power play unit. If he does not do well, switch him with Jones before going back to Trouba. Let Jones have at least half a season playing consistently. Let him make the mistakes and learn in time for the playoffs. I would not rush calling up Cuylle or Othmann unless they are absolutely crushing it in Hartford. Finally, this would equate to roughly $3M of cap room at the trading deadline to add some finishing touches to the roster.
