If you trade Samsonov before an arbitration award, you can't buy Murray out.

And we DON'T need a goalie -- we have Cam Talbot and Phoenix Copley.

Hard to trade for cap when you have no cap.

Kings need a goalie, but Leafs are fine with Vladar and Woll? Kings also don’t need to bail Toronto out capwise.

LA is far more likely to take a run at Murray at the cap minimum after he is inevitably bought out.

The Kings had Quick and Petersen and Copley was who they rode to the playoffs. They are better with this brutal tandem than they were last year, for what it’s worth the Kings will probably try to get Murray too after he is bought out.

Gotta move $3.2M in negative cap space; and it’s the path without losing an asset. They can try to move him; but that will be difficult without retention.
