Description

Looking at the free agents I was targeted, the contracts I was giving them and comparing to what they got.

Compher might be a bit rich for his production but to get a right handed two way centre you have to pay.

We did pretty decent in my opinion. Most players for more term and AAV than I protected which could be why we had to settle with possibly the less desirable options. I'm interested to see what Dumba gets though. Wondering if he would have been a better fit than Gostisbehere. Considering Philly was giving up Gost with assets a few years ago and we needed LHD at the time and now we sign him seems kind of silly.

I think at one point I signed him at 2.5 x 2. I don't mind that signing. He took alot of heat in Toronto. It's he great? No. But he was playing 20 minutes a night there. Let's give him 18 and see what he does. I just hope he's not pairing with Chiarot cause that might be one slow pairing.

I don't think so. We just extended him. He's a really nice steady defender. He makes his partners better so hopefully he plays with Gostisbehere and increases his value for the deadline.
