No idea what triggered these responses... Why the hostility? What did I do here that upset you both? I am genuinely curious.

This was my honest assessment as to what I thought Dubas would do/should do. Now Fischer and Yamamato could be different players but they are 2 options.

And yes... I hate the Reaves signing. 1-2 years, under 1m and I would have been okay with it. 3 years at 1.35m a year is terrible.

Who do you foresee them using? All I see is Mrazek and a few really young prospects. What do you see your tandem being?

Nah. Kyle Davidson has openly stated he is not looking for goaltending and is comfortable going into next season with Mrazek and Soderblom as the goalie tandem. Soderblom will be 24 before the season starts, he played two years of pro in Europe and two years in the AHL. He has earned this opportunity and will likely either split time evenly or take the starting job entirely.

Granted, every GM says "we are comfortable with what we have".

If they go with that, fair enough. But don't be surprised if they add another guy, to a low end, 1 year deal. Would help protect their prospects a bit. Soderbloom didn't have good numbers in the AHL or NHL last year.

For sure. I wouldn't be surprised if they added another. But I doubt they are gonna go spend a 4th round pick on some other teams throwaway. If anything I see them bringing in someone on a two way deal and waiving them or purely an AHL/ECHL contract that can cover for the others if they get a call up, and then having Stauber or Commesso play some NHL games, if necessary. They are all about providing opportunities for their younger players right now. There is a lot more to goaltending than numbers, Soderblom is a very technically sound and solid goalie. With a team in front of him that actually plays defense well, he will likely be fine. Which is something they have addressed significantly, with bringing in more defensively responsible veteran forwards that aren't going to leave the D and Goalies out to dry like prior years.

Reaves was signed 3 years, a decade is 10 years

Gentlemen this why a highschool diploma or a GED at the least are important milestones to hit in life if you don't hit these milestones you might say something stupid on a public forum
